Europe’s first internal metatarsal protection safety boot! Packed with some great technology, the Rhyolite boots feature our Roc-Met Guard providing the internal metatarsal protection, as well as a composite toecap and protective composite midsole. These boots are constructed using fully composite components making them the only fully non-metallic metatarsal boot in Europe. Featuring a rubber scuff cap, and sewn together using R-Ten Abrasion Resistant Thread – which offers protection against limestone, oil, alkalis and certain acids, the durability of this style is second to none. The boots benefit from a waterproof and breathable Activ-Tex Membrane, keeping the wearer’s feet comfortable for longer.

What is R-Ten Sewing Thread
R-Ten Sewing Thread is a long-lasting thread which enhances the life of a pair of safety boots. Conventional sewing threads on safety footwear suffer from exposure to alkalis such as Limestone/Concrete and also abrasion if the wearer is exposed to environments such as tarmac.
We all know that one of the most common problems with conventional safety footwear is stitching failure. In contrast, R-Ten Sewing Thread is a thread you can really rely on: it does not deteriorate from exposure to the elements. It can be trusted in the harshest applications from Offshore Oil Rigs, Civil Engineering.

What Is FORCE10?
FORCE10 is the brand name behind components that provide enhanced durability and abrasion resistance, all of which have been independently tested by accredited testing house, Intertek.

Advanced Scuff Cap Technology that provides enhanced abrasion resistance and has been tested to 56,000 revolutions on an abrasion machine as per the strict EN 388 abrasion test method modified using P180 Grit Paper FORCE10 Scuff Caps will outperform in a number of environments and gives a higher degree of resistance to Alkalis such as limestone, concrete and saltwater.

The GR100 Nitrile Rubber Outsole manufactured using a special form of solid Nitrile Rubber provides incredible durability and abrasion resistance. In testing the GR100 outsole achieved a volume loss of just 110mm³ far less than the maximum requirement of 250mm³ - This result puts the FORCE10 outsole amongst the most durable outsoles available in the marketplace
